Background and Experience:

I am a Director of Edwards Surveyors Ltd which is an independent, Chartered Surveying practice based in Luton, together with an office in Whitstable, Kent. Edwards Surveyors is regulated by the RICS and I am a Registered Valuer under the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme.

Having qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1983 my work, since 1986, has predominantly involved the preparation of mortgage valuation reports, for a wide variety of Lending Institutions, together with Homebuyer Reports (now known as RICS Home Survey Level 2 Inspections) and Building Surveys of residential properties for private Clients. I undertake valuations of residential property for tax purposes i.e Inheritance and Capital Gains Tax, Leasehold Extensions and produce Party Wall Awards.

I am regularly employed as an Expert Witness in relation to property valuation and survey issues. I am fully conversant with the Civil Procedure Rules and all relevant RICS Guidance Notes, Practice Statements, Information Papers and the RICS Valuation Standards (Red Book).

Geographical coverage:

My area of operation is throughout north and west London extending into the northern Home Counties (Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire) and the north Kent coast.
